The Surrey Junior Championships hosted by Woking Archery Club is back after a 2 year break. This year we have a WRS WA70/60/50m round for all the bowtypes and including AGB metric rounds for U16’s to Under 12’s.
The Leonie George Memorial Shoot , the 36th Surrey Archery Open Field Championships are being held on Sunday 7th November 2021.
This popular shoot takes place at the High Ashurst Activity centre, Mickleham, Dorking, Surrey.
Entries are open online – apply now to avoid disappointment.
Following the Return to Archery after National Lockdown 3 of the Coronavirus Pandemic, Surrey Archery have announced a return to Competition with entries now open for the 2021 Clout and Target Championships.

There will be no Junior Championships in 2021, but announcements with details of the Surrey Archery Weekend, Longbow, Field and Indoor Championships will follow once finalised.
Archery GB, our National Governing Body are advising that all archery in the UK is postponed for the foreseeable future, to reduce all non-essential contact with others. Our priority is the health and safety of our members, participants, volunteers and staff.

Surrey Archery have also postponed the Committee Meeting scheduled for April. It will be rescheduled once, more information is available.

Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS) are holding their 2020 Coaches Conference on Saturday 21st March 2020 at Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre in Wyboston, Bedford.
The Conference has a number of interesting sessions and speakers lined up and is expected to be valuable experience for all coaches.
For Level 2 Coaches and above development credits will be available.

Guildford Archery Club are hosting a Level 1 Archery Coaching Course early in 2020. This will be one of the last current style courses prior to the introduction of the new coaching framework.
This is the course for those archers looking to deliver Beginner Courses and introduction to archery sessions.
This Level 1 course, which includes 3 sessions of instruction followed by an assessment is being held on four Sundays:
The cost of the course is £275.00.

Surrey Archery have been invited to enter teams for a Southern Counties friendly indoor tournament in February 2020. The event is being held in Sittingbourne, Kent on Saturday 22nd February 2020.
Team entries are available for mixed teams of four archers in each bow style:
If sufficient Surrey archers meeting the minimum eligibility criteria (see below) and gender mix make themselves available it is intended to enter teams in each bow category.
Archers wishing to be considered for team selection will need to submit at least 3 qualifying indoor scores via their Club Records Officer to the County Records Officer by 22nd January 2020. Archers must confirm their availability for the shoot, if selected, when submitting their scores.

The Surrey Archery Records & Ranking Rules have recently been updated to allow Junior archers to be able, if they choose, to claim Senior Records.
