Southern Counties Archery Youth Tour (SCAYT)

New for 2023, SCAS is launching the Southern Counties Archery Youth Tour (SCAYT). SCAYT links together more than 30 events around the region for junior archers to get involved in from mid April onward, all leading up to the Tour Finale and SCAS Junior Championships to be held on September 24th at Crystal Palace Bowmen. For archers who complete 3 or more events on the tour entry to the final will cost just £5.

2021 Clout and Target Championships Announced

Following the Return to Archery after National Lockdown 3 of the Coronavirus Pandemic, Surrey Archery have announced a return to Competition with entries now open for the 2021 Clout and Target Championships.

There will be no Junior Championships in 2021, but announcements with details of the Surrey Archery Weekend, Longbow, Field and Indoor Championships will follow once finalised.

Archery GB announce the postponement of all Grassroots Archery in the UK

Archery GB, our National Governing Body are advising that all archery in the UK is postponed for the foreseeable future, to reduce all non-essential contact with others. Our priority is the health and safety of our members, participants, volunteers and staff.

Surrey Archery have also postponed the Committee Meeting scheduled for April. It will be rescheduled once, more information is available.
In the meantime if Club have queries for Surrey Archery please contact secretary@surreyarchery.org who will liaise with the Executive and other members of the Committee if and when necessary.

SCAS Coaches Conference 2020

Southern Counties Archery Society (SCAS) are holding their 2020 Coaches Conference on Saturday 21st March 2020 at Wyboston Lakes Conference Centre in Wyboston, Bedford.

The Conference has a number of interesting sessions and speakers lined up and is expected to be valuable experience for all coaches.

For Level 2 Coaches and above development credits will be available.

Woking AC announce 2020 Tournaments

The Woking Double – Sunday 14th June 2020

Woking Archery Club are announcing a new shoot for 2020 consisting of Double WA 70/60/50m rounds, it is open to all members of Surrey Archery & Archery GB.

The aim is to keep things friendly and simple but to the highest standards. With that in mind the Woking Double will be World Record Status and will qualify for Archery GB Tier 3 ranking points. All Archers will shoot at Tenzone foam targets and awards for the winners will consist of gold medals only.

The 37th Woking Open Championships – Sunday 20th September 2020

Woking’s well known Open shoot will of course also take place in 2020. For the first time we will be offering a York round as well as the usual Hereford and Bristols.
